Q:   Do I need a permit for my project?

A:   You will only need a permit for projects like; driveway approach, deck, addition, sidewalks, garages and basement finishing. Be confident all permits and inspections will be handled for you if you are working with IQ Renovation.

Q:   Do you use sub-contractors or your own workers?

A:   IQ Renovation will always use our own skilled  craftsman for a majority of the projects we do. We will however sub-contract specialty portions of projects like; plumbing, electrical, radiant floor heating and HVAC. 

Q:   What qualifications should my contractor have?

A:   A contractor should always have a certificate of insurance available for you to see and be licensed as a contractor in the state of Iowa. IQ Renovation has all proper licensing and insurance and will always provide documents if requested.

Q:   Do you offer Financing?

A:   Yes. IQ Renovation is a lender-approved company. These lenders have investigated us to ensure that we are financially sound, maintain satisfactory relationships with our suppliers and have no outstanding complaints.

Q:   Do you guarantee your work?

A:   Yes. Every contractor should provide a guarantee and it should be in writing. IQ Renovation will provide you with a one year written workmanship warranty. 

Q:   Who will be in charge of the job?

A:   A good home remodeling company should always have a foreman or manager overseeing the project. IQ Renovation will assign a Project Manager to every job we take on. You can be confident that you will have an experienced manager overseeing every aspect of your home remodeling project, even when you are not at home.
